SYDNEY'S ULTIMATE SUMMER TRIFECTAS

A perfect view, great meal and top beer all in one place – these are the top spots for the trifecta in Sydney.

It’s hard to get past a sparkling seaside view in a city perched right on one of the world’s most beautiful harbours and selection of beaches. We’re definitely spoiled for choice here in Sydney.

Here are our top picks for the ultimate food and beer in one killer location.

Icebergs Dining Room and Bar

Dining at the iconic Icebergs overlooking Bondi Beach is always breathtaking. Hot insider tip, mid-week means (slightly) less crowds, midday is even more likely to get you prime ocean views. Grab a perch by the window or on the balcony and enjoy a lazy arvo as the sun glistens off the pool below.

What to order: Oysters are non-negotiable, as are the incredible fries.

Best seat in the house: Turn left through the door into the bar. The best seat is absolutely the corner seat by the window, where 180-degree views of the Bondi horizon lie below. It makes for excellent people watching.

North Bondi Fish

North Bondi Fish is a prime spot to have a drink in Sydney. It’s always such a good vibe and a great spot to watch the sunset at the front of the balcony. The energy from late afternoon on the beach carries up to the restaurant, it’s contagious.

What to order: The XO Morton Bay bugs and grilled scallops on the half shell with that incredible konbu and wasabi butter are the absolute standout.

Best seat in the house: On the balcony, of course.

Regatta Rose Bay

It’s pretty hard to ignore the million-dollar view at Regatta in Rose Bay. It’s best in the evenings when the reflection of the city lights sparkles off the harbour.

What to order: The black linguini is stuffed with cuttlefish, razor clams, prawns, chilli, garlic and parsley. Fresh and tasty!

Best seat in the house: Well, the ferry there is pretty spectacular.

Bennelong

This is the ultimate place to take out-of-towners (or just treat yourself). It’s the perfect balance of showing off the city and enjoying some fine Australian dining in perhaps the most iconic venue in all of Sydney.

What to order: The luxe suckling pig sausage roll with black garlic is unmissable at the Cured and Cultured bar – we’d venture to say it’s the best match for a beer in the house!

Best seat in the house: Up top at the Cured and Cultured bar, impressive views over the entire space.
